Gifford lives in Giza, Egypt with his wife, Christine and daughter, Kate.
The most common question I'm asked is... "How did you end up singing on a roof?"
Well, it's a bit of a long story; I met a guy who knew a guy who was having an IT problem. So I solved the problem, and ended up meeting a group of hotel owner and I said the already existing category of "Hotels in Giza" sucks... we should create a new and different category of Giza Experience; there's nothing to do at night.
So I created...
"GIZA ROOFTOP SUNSET CONCERT SERIES"
and performed the first show on Christmas Day, 2025... for 100+ rooftop guests; the second show was produced and performed New Years Eve, 2025... at the Riwaq Hotel and Rooftop. VIdeos and photos were uploaded to Social Media... the owners at Rootop 7000 asked me to work for them; I started performing nightly on January 11th, 2026.
A bit of background... I was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 1969 on Canada Day but grew up on the coast of Nova Scotia until I graduated from high school. I became a Christian my senior year and felt called to ministry...
I felt that I must share the Gospel with people...
so I enrolled in Bible College in 1989.
Bachelor of Science (Christian Education) from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee (1993); a Master of Arts (Religious Education) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas (1996), and a Masters (Divinity) from Acadian Divinity College in Wolfville, Nova Scotia (2004).
I am also the Founder and CEO of Atlantic Webfitters (2005), a small portal software consulting company specializing in web portal services, products, lead generation, workflow technology and of course... Category Design...
I've done a lot of work for governments, universities and Fortune 500 companies... I even saved an election.
Co-founded Acts of Kindness Society (AOK); a non-profit organization (registered in Nova Scotia, Canada). With a mission to alleviate food insecurity, AOK volunteers have the luxury of becoming involved in the community at a very practical level.
And now I'm in GIza... and I see a lot of poor people who could use a good, hearty meal; so I'm currently investigating what I can do to help feed them.
